Quotation One

"There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills." -Buddha

Doubting other people is something that everybody does once in a while no matter how much they try not to. It's easier on us to doubt others than ourselves because rather than feeling degraded we usually feel empowered knowing that that person isn't going to do very well in something, that we may. The thing is it's not easier on the relationship between those to people often tearing it apart on account of the lack of support. Nobody likes being second guessed... Buddha was a spiritual teacher from ages ago (about 400-500 BCE) who kind of founded the Buddhist religion. He taught a lot about our world and how we're conscious beings within it. It wasn't so much about Gods, just how you could be a peaceful person making the most out of your life by not demanding or wanting all kinds of things. Meditation is pretty important in the Buddhist religion as well, it's just taking some time and clearing your head of all the things that could be causing you grief, try to connect with a calmer side and the feel of the world. Having said that the three main things that Buddha believed caused people grief were the craving of sensuality, acquisition of identity and destruction. Clearly the Buddha believes that doubt causes destruction in relationships and is therefore a useless and unwanted emotion...
